CAUCASIAN EAGLE

The Caucasian Eagle was another offspring of Typhon and Echidna. It was also a sibling of the Hydra, the Sphinx, etc. It lived in the Caucasas Mountains and said to be huge.

It didn't have a very large part in mythology except that its job was to rip out the liver of the Titan Prometheus every day and devour it. It diligently did that until killed by the hero Heracles who happened to be passing by and felt sorry for Prometheus.
