HESTIA

Hestia was the Greek goddess of the hearth. She was said to have been the first and the last born since she was the first child Kronos swallowed and the last that he vomited back up. She was one of the three virgin goddesses and originally one of the Olympian Twelve, but she gave up her throne to Dionysus when he came to claim his place in Olympus. After that, Hestia instead sat in the middle of the throne room and kept the sacred hearth eternally lit. Not much else is known about Hestia since she chose not to involve herself in most events.
